The Cake Of The Future II

The Cake Of The Future II
Art direction for a mapping projection in Barcelona, Spain

The famous confectioner Christian Escribá was charged by the television producer Oscar Cornejo to organise a show for his marriage, on April 9th, 2011.
The technological-artistic group Matheria Studio dealt with the production and organisation of this mapping projection event: visuals, actors, a 6x4m projection structure, 300 guests, over 40 collaborators. I was the Art Director of all the visual content of the show.
This is a shorter version of the original video "El Espectáculo" by Guille Lafita.
THE MAKING OF
This is a shorter version of two bigger parts composing the making of The Cake Of The Future II, by Guille Lafita: "El Reto" (The Challenge) and "La Creación" (The Creation).

ACT I - The Factory
This is the original video of the ACT I, with the insertion of a few shootings of the real show, to let know how it exactly looked like on the 6x4m structure.
As the show was during the tv producer Oscar Cornejo's wedding party, the ACT I represents a fabulous chocolate factory. Every new cooking tool concretely introduced by the actors-confectioners put on one of the three screens above the door.

ACT II - The Wedding Cake Machine
This is the original video of the Act II, with the insertion of a few shootings of the real show, to let know how it exactly looked like on the 6x4m structure and how it interacted with the actors.
The Act II represents the inside of the fabulous chocolate factory, with a gigantic machine changing with every new ingredient concretely introduced by the actors-confectioners, till it becomes a big wedding cake itself.

An early scketch of the inside of the factory
At first the factory contained more machines, as the anthropomorphous "chupachocolates" (the red ones).

ACT III & IV - 3D Motion Typography + The End
This is the original video of the acts III & IV, with the insertion of a few shootings of the real show, to let know how it exactly looked like on the 6x4m structure and how it interacted with the actors.
As it was the conclusion of the show of the tv producer Oscar Cornejo's marriage, the ACT III is a 3D motion typography with the words Passion (Pasión), Joy (Alegría) and Love (Amor), while the ACT IV is a sort of allegory of love itself, starting with one blue small ball and finishing, after many troubles, with a white bigger one.
At the end the huge ball splits in coordination with the structure in order to reveal the 16 brasilian singers, percussionists and dancers solicited as final surprise by the client.
